I have conversations like that in my head with my mom, and I know this scripture is true:
1Cor 2:9 “But, as it is written, "What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him,"…
After you lose someone you love you almost become thankful that your life is a blink of an eye because you want to be with them so badly. And you also want to make sure your whole family knows the Lord as their savior. It sure reminds us how fragile and short our life on Earth is. And makes us also appreciate the true eternal life with our Heavenly Father and family!
And on a total side note, I have had very good luck, keeping my weight at 115 pounds most of my life and I think some of the things that really has helped me maintain are wild yam root, tyrosine and cissus quadrangularis. Years ago, an endocrinologist/gynecologist published a paper recommending the first two for women over 40, and I took her advice. Later, when I had a torn meniscus in my knee, I started on the Cissus Quadrangularis and when reading up on it, found it is also helpful with weight loss! Its main benefit is helping tissues and bones heal and stay strong but lots of other benefits as well!
Thank you for your comments about both topics and am thankful that the earthly life is as "short" as it is for that reason. Even thinking of 20 more years sort of depresses me and that's why I have to make myself take one day at a time. I have never even heard of two of the three substances you named and will definitely take a look. Thanks for that info because anything that makes it easier to lose or maintain gets a gold star!
One of the commandments is to not take the Lord's name in vain. And if you call yourself a Christian but don't live a Christian life then you really are taking the Lord's name in vain.
With all you have been through, it could be easy to lose your faith. Instead yours has grown stronger. You epitomize a faithful woman. ❤️
Thank you. I do think if one wants it, there is a direct correlation to experiencing God's love to the same level as experiencing the pain of the world. Equal and opposite I guess.
Beautiful scripture!

I love that poem on the Cardinals Among Us plaque-it it a little cliche in part but the end is just beautiful:
"So live your life. Laugh again, enjoy yourself, be free.
Then I'll know with each breath you take; you are taking one for me".
Hi Nancy, Yes. I'm going to look up that whole poem. Thank you.
