Yes, we have property in the Sacramento mountains in New Mexico, in the Lincoln National Forest at about 6800 ‘ feet elevation. It’s going to be a huge change, and a much welcome one, Lord willing! It will probably be at least five years off, and I’m hoping that some of our family might end up joining us because we have acreage and are willing to let them build anything they would want. You’re right, it will be hard to leave loved ones! We were going to leave several years ago and my husband was going to try to work from home as much as possible but after Covid fiasco with travel was so hard we decided against it at that time. Now his job responsibilities don’t allow as much flexibility so we are kind of stuck but that’s ok too. My mind and body are ready to go but not my heart!
That’s awesome!! I knew you mentioned Texas, but I figured you were in Dallas or Austin! Oh my goodness you’re right about Houston being offensive lol. Born and raised here (third generation), but I would leave in a heartbeat if my husband’s job would allow lol.
It’s never been a pretty city, except for the trees, it was a good place to live up until about mid 90s. We have pretty good restaurants and good live music seen or at least used to even that has been downgraded. Probably the worst thing is the excessive humidity.
Do you think you'll retire somewhere else? I would understand either way, since you've been there all your life, you wouldn't want to be far away from family and friends.
Thanks for asking. He is eating better but this week has been a fiasco. They gave him a picc line as we were being discharged. The dr failed to realize they sent us home with no antibiotics. We got called back to the hospital. We got home at 10:00 tonight. I feel God putting things in place. We are doing an alternative treatment as well. Delays keep coming and somehow I feel like God is protecting us.
Thank God you are home where he will continue to improve and I’m so glad he is eating. I know you’re exhausted. It sounds like you’re doing a great job staying on top of everything and exploring alternative treatment, which is always a smart thing to do! God bless you both, and may God continue to strengthen and heal your husband.

Gorgeous pics!! Thanks for sharing!
I think I'm doing it again this morning.
What a blessing to live near that beauty. Here in Houston Texas we have nothing like that.
LMAO!! I didn't know you were here too!! How about the smell of Buffalo Bayou after the sewage overflow, huh? Back to nature...

Was it already bad when you were little, or did you like it back then?

It's wild my three most avid encouragers all live so close to each other! Love you all.
There must be a road trip to TX in your future!
Haha yes she needs to a Texas welcome and some BBQ!
Absolutely! With some Shiner Beer!
It is truly a blessing and I'm so thankful.
Beautiful !
Beautiful pictures. Praying for you.
How’s your husband? Much better I hope.

Please pray. He is tired and weak but our God isn’t.
From my reading plan today.
"God, I know that I can't control everything, so I will do what I can and trust You to do what I can't do. The storms of life do not control me. I trust Your plans for me."
It is the Lord who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”
