Today's hike was up the Falling Sink and down the Mill trail at a place called Bethel Creek around 4:45 pm. This is the one I did on my birthday back in January, and only a couple times since. Over the past four years, I have probably hiked here between 100 and 200 times. It had stormed last night, yet the trail was really only damp, not soggy anywhere, so I was happy about that.
Here are two pictures:
Morgan really didn't like to hike, yet she did hike this one with me once in July 2022.
I definitely get through Fridays a thousand times better than I used to, but they are still my seventh favorite day of the week.
Thank you for reading.
And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
Job 1:21 ESV
Yes, we have property in the Sacramento mountains in New Mexico, in the Lincoln National Forest at about 6800 ‘ feet elevation. It’s going to be a huge change, and a much welcome one, Lord willing! It will probably be at least five years off, and I’m hoping that some of our family might end up joining us because we have acreage and are willing to let them build anything they would want. You’re right, it will be hard to leave loved ones! We were going to leave several years ago and my husband was going to try to work from home as much as possible but after Covid fiasco with travel was so hard we decided against it at that time. Now his job responsibilities don’t allow as much flexibility so we are kind of stuck but that’s ok too. My mind and body are ready to go but not my heart!
Beautiful !
