Funny memory of my son, David: When he was 5 years old, I got angry with him one day (but now I can't remember why), and while I was scolding him, David put his hand over his face and spread his fingers out really wide so I could see each of his eyes through his fingers. Then all he said was, "Starfish."
His hand looked exactly like a starfish had sucked onto his face. I just burst out laughing! I couldn't stay angry with him. I don't know how he came up with "starfish, but it worked, no more anger.
Your dad was great and I'm sure you do miss him. Did you build card houses at grandma and grandpa Bonds? She had a ton of cards. I spent hours doing that in her living room.
