Hi Joan, I’ve been thinking about you all week and praying for comforting words to say to help you with a difficult day tomorrow. This evening my husband and I were sitting outside and a beautiful pair of herons kept flying overhead. It was a big one and a little bit smaller one and I thought of it being mother and daughter. Of course I immediately thought of you. I took a picture I’d like to try to post somewhere so you can see them. They were beautiful and happy and flying free in the beautiful early evening sky, and it made me think of how someday you and beautiful Morgan will be together again, in paradise. I believe this was the timely answer to my prayers, the message of comfort for you. Praise be to God for eternal life, and for the fact that the Bible says that everything in nature reveals God to us. Romans 1:20, psalm 19:1
Praying that you have a very nice day with your son and husband and his girlfriend and also praying for continued good news and many decades of healthy life ahead for your husband and you. You are very beloved by many people including me. God bless you always ❤️!
Hi Sweet Bellatrix! Thank you so much for all of this. I agree that God gave you that living picture to send to me - He knows we've nurtured a connection he gave us, and how many times you've prayed and provided words of comfort in the past. I cried enough earlier in the week when I wrote that, that I'm okay again today. Can you attach and send to email at therebelshike@proton.me? I hope you have a beautiful day with your family!
I’m so glad you talk about Morgan. To me it’s a reminder of the hope we have in Christ that she is alive and you will see her again! And I will get to meet her one day. And I feel like I already know her because you do talk about her. Love you sweet friend ❤️
I'm happy you'll be with your family for Mother's Day - and of course Morgan will be there in spirit. How could it be any other way? Thank you for sharing your grief process, Joan. You're remarkable. 💝
Oh Joan, of course you should talk about her. She is your daughter! I wouldn't want my loved one to be forgotten or not mentioned. So glad things are on right side for your husband and I hope you have a pleasant mother's day in Nashville.
I was just praying about your husband's health yesterday while picking up my daughters from school, and I wondered how you were doing leading up to Mother's Day. You don't know me, but I think of you fondly all the time ❤️
You said ‘ The first one reminds me of her because, as my cousin Jenny says, the baby and little kid memories don’t really hurt as much because we’ve all lost that version of our children.’
Maybe but I’ll bet you can remember every minute of the day she was born. Those memories are never lost. And the adult ones hurt but are treasured as much. She was your friend as much as your child.

Thanks for the kind words, and I never completely thought about it from that angle. Love you, too! 💕

Hi Jay. Well thank you so much for the prayers. They are definitely helping. I got a needed dose of endorphins with your comment!

Hi IvyRose. Yes, that’s what it is. I hope all is well with you!
