I hope you had a wonderful reunion Joan. I was thinking of your family and of Mo yesterday as we watched the glorious eclipse, remembering her celebration of life on that day I think last year. Wondering what Heavens perspective of the eclipse would be ? The heavens declare His glory! God is good, praying for ongoing healing in the depth of your hearts and continued filling of the resurrection life and power of Jesus until your reunion with her one day! Love you!! Praying! πβ€οΈππΆπ
P. S. The title of the one of the books in my head is βSay His Nameβ (a double entendre; say Luke and say Jesus.) One chapter is βWhat Not to Sayβ.
Good morning. God brought me here today through Ramblings in Faith. As soon as I saw the name of your Substack I knew I had to read your posts. Iβve read several and could have been a co-author. My son Luke was eighteen when he went to Heaven. Oct 2, 1989-May 14, 2008.
I have many book titles in my head that I have never written; although Iβve written βnotesβ to Luke on his birthday and anniversary for almost 16 years. I keep telling myself that Iβm going to transcribe them here so theyβre all in one place - maybe finding you will be the nudge I need to get it done.
I applaud your writings. Theyβre beautiful and raw, just as grief is.
I donβt know your name. Mine is Sharon and I am so blessed to make your acquaintance. β€οΈ
Hi Sharon K. Welcome! You have been enduring for a long time and I'm so glad you arrived here. I go by Joan or Joanie. Thank you for your kind words and who knows, maybe we can join forces.
Wow, well said! Thank you for sharing such personal thoughts. I don't have children, so can only imagine the pain of losing one - and I try not to use my imagination for such! - but I have a good friend who lost her 35 year old son last year. You've helped me understand what she's going through. May you have a wonderful trip!
Good afternoon Joan! I love the link to the Hebrew for Christians site. Thank you so much.
Looking forward to an update after this weekend. I pray that you receive lots of love and comfort, and that also other people can benefit from your faith and outreach. God be with you allππ»
Hi lady! That's the first time I've come across that link, but I really liked it too and plan to use it more. I hope you're having a great week. How is your friend that was very sick?
Thanks for asking about Polly! Sheβs doing real well. In between the doctor visits and tests, all we could do was pray l. Then all of her blood work just continued to improve and the doctors canβt figure out what had happened. We think a miracle!!
I am still very much enjoying that you are introducing me to MSG. That is a beautiful daily life interpretation of the Beatitudes. I wish you, and your companions, peace at your reunion this weekend.
Thank you. At my Bible Study, a woman who also said she is now enjoying it said that a single Pastor translated it to help his congregation understand better. Guess I'll go look that up now!
