Have you tried using that nutritional gel supplement that you can get at Petsmart or Chewy? it’s high calorie and it also has an appetite stimulant, and it seems to help kitties that won’t or don’t eat much. May God strengthen and sustain Milo.
"God only knows" for sure!! And I am 100% on board with what you're saying here. My husband and I have many similar conversations. Your story about the little lady who feeds stray cats was a beautiful tribute to Mo and her heart. I truly believe God lead you and sent His blessing to you through your beautiful daughter. It's hard to explain how we discern and move through our days "listening." Going through the deep valley of grief and "transformation" is a necessary journey for anyone else (not in that place) to relate to what it means to have a relationship with Jesus, who moves us to act and receive.
I am catching up today after having an unusually busy weekend. Can I ask your first name so I can address you personally? ☺️🥰
Thank you for this! We were typing away at the same time yesterday! Hope you have a peaceful week friend. ox
Aaahhh....my whole comment got lost when I went to re-read something you wrote.
I think it is enough that you believe in the synchronicities, as do I. And I am glad that you continue to see them.
As to unkindness, the older I get, the more I realize that I have to do better at sharing my smile. I have been known to be in my own world and not seeing people. I don't intend it to be unkind, but I recognize it comes across that way, so I try to do better. I know that the Bible teaches that we are not supposed to elevate ourselves above others, and I also try to not do that, and to see everyone around me as a human being with value.
But the point you made that I think about most is sharing, in this world where there are so many causes and so many individuals in need. That scene in Sound of Hope where the poor Pastor goes hat in hand to the rich church and he is turned away, that scene still pains me. It reminds me to put my alms in the special collection our church has for those most in need. My personal intention is to help specific individuals when I feel God moving in me about them. There are some people I believe He puts in our lives to teach us something and to enable us to share. The easiest example is with the homeless. In college, I went on a mission trip to NYC working with the homeless, and learned a lot of surprising truths about panhandling. Those truths hit home that week when we went to a show (tickets purchased day of at the discount window) and in the seat next to me was a gentleman with a huge cast on his leg. He left at half-time and, when he returned, he was unburdened by that cast. Despite the skepticism I have coming from that experience, I help when moved. Several times this year, I have bought breakfast. That act, more than giving someone a dollar bill, helps me make that person feel seen, even if just for a moment. I am sure I sometimes miss the call to help, but I let myself be guided by my conscience, to which I have become more intune with age.
May God bless you as you continue this journey. Keep sharing with us.
Hi Noelle. Thank you for your stories. I think it's a combo of knowing how God wants us to be and letting the Holy Spirit dictate or prompt in each situation. The first step is knowing, the next step is wanting to be used or shown.
I certainly do not help every person who seems to need help, but sometimes it is natural and sometimes imperative.
Agree and am also intrigued with what you wrote , my friend🙂
I, too, am sad and angry about some people who highjack Christianity …especially if they are considered leaders in their profession or community. It is maddening and it hurts my heart.
I missed this post somehow. Glad I check your archives!
Thank you for helping the kitties and the sweet lady who feeds strays! Amazing you have so much in common!
I believe God is sovereign over everything that happens, even the flight of a bird, and that He is able of giving you comfort in any way He chooses.
How’s Milo?
Hi Bellatrix,
It’s a pretty small town. We’re bound to know a few of the same people I guess. Thank you for your encouragement, as always.
Milo seemed to be getting better, finally eating some, but it’s really not much. His personality is still good though! Thank you for asking.

No, vet never said anything about that, but I'll look into it!
