I am so sorry about KK Joan, I’m so glad you saw the signs and got KK to the vet sooner rather than later. What a scare! I hope the neighbors reimburse you, at a minimum.

I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday💕xoxo

Hey! Thank you. No it looks like if we want reimbursement, we'll have to try small claims court. We'd been decent neighbors, but I guess they are in the position they are because they refuse to make the right decision when presented to them. You may have seen their house and yard...

Happy Thanksgiving. Tell your mom and Todd hello from me!

I lost my little Pierre Pascal 3 years ago to a dog attack. They came into my yard and torn my little man to shreds. Yes, they were pit bulls, but so was my sweet, departed Lucille, who loved Pierre and licked his wounds, trying to save him.

they dragged him back to their property so technically I was trespassing but emotionally I could do nothing for quite some time.

You know, Joanie, this is SO, SO true. I was in a discipleship group not too long ago and every week, the facilititor asked these questions...." What was the highlight of your week, and what was the lowlight of your week?" After several weeks, I noticed (and probably everyone else did, too) I always had highlights to share but no lowlights. After I thought about it, it was easy to see why I had no lowlights. It is not because I don't have bad days, or that I don't get frustrated or angry of sad, BUT compared to losing two of your children, nothing else is even comparable....so to me, even the "bad' stuff is better than the worst! I am so sorry your precious Kk was hurt. We all love our fur babies! Praying for you during this season.

Yes, you completely understand. I realized even after the shock wore off a couple months after, that I just didn't get irritated or frustrated with every day annoyances much anymore. Thanks for the prayers.

Oh my goodness Joan I am so sorry about your dog and all the terrible events that happened but I’m so thankful everyone is OK. I hope your neighbors compensate you for the injury. That was so nice. they adopted a dog from the Pound. But with any dog you need to keep them contained that’s for sure. My husband and I do a lot of dog rescue and we have a double fence for that reason, sometimes they’re even leashed inside the double fence if we’re not sure 100% of their disposition. It’s not just pit bulls. It’s also German shepherds and huskies and all sorts of dogs including little Chihuahuas that can wreak havoc. So glad your precious one is OK. Also, so glad everything was OK with the car and especially that phone call. Wow I could see where your husband would just be filled with fear after seeing that on his phone, it scared me reading it.

I think it’s a great idea you’re going to celebrate Wednesday and then Thursday you can spend time thinking about Morgan and reading your Bible and doing other things that make you feel close to her and God. We will be praying for you.

Hope you have a very blessed Thanksgiving with your son and husband and whatever friends and family you end up seeing over the weekend. Please give us a little update on your dog if you can before you post again by replying here.

Thank you Jesus for all your blessings and mercy over all of us .

Here's a quick update. KK feels fine and is healing nicely thankfully. Neighbor claims the dog was not Squid, but her visiting son's friend's dog. Explains the temperament difference and the dog seemed larger than I'd remembered Squid being, however, there is some deception going on as well, turning this into something complex. So.

Thank you for the update Joan. I will be trying that the truth will come out and that it will glorify God. Thank You Jesus that sweet KK is recovering!

It doesn’t make me feel better if it is a dog that is not going to be there again because I was worried about future altercations.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Hope you have a nice day celebrating today.

Thank you. Which dog is the perpetrator has gotten convoluted. Probably the authorities will have to decide. They want to do it the hard way through deception, so be it.

Hi Bellatrix. Thank you. We'll try to get compensation from them. It's not cut and dried, but hoping she'll be apologetic and responsible when I call her today. I will give an update here under your comment in a couple days. Thank you for all your prayer and encouragement. 😇
