“I can Only Imagine” by Mercy Me has always moved me, long before the movie ever came out. It’s so beautiful and inspirational. I too am moved by music, I always gravitate to it when I hear a beautiful voice, the words have special meaning, or describes how I’m feeling when I wasn’t sure how to put my feelings in words. I like many genres but my favorite has always been country music. I often hear songs that can be about God’s love/mercy even if it was not intended to be by the songwriter.
Thanks for posting this Joan, very though provoking 💕
Thanks Jill. I love that song as well. I had not listened to a Christian radio station until 2003 when we moved to Cincinnati and Karen told me about KLOVE. You know I'm not a big country fan overall, but the more I live here in Alabama, the more it grows on me.
God speaks in a language we will understand. I have heard music in another language, yet could tell the depth of sadness without knowing the words. Why does a symphony cause us to almost cry at the beauty? Evil is the lack of music. When the birds no longer sing, evil walks on the Earth. As long as we have music, we will survive.
