I could not imagine what it was like to have a child die. Now I know. But I also know where she is and that it is a much better realm than our earthly one - perfect really.
What I can't imagine but got a glimpse of today was losing a child to child sexual slavery. You know your child is both gone and suffering. Hell on Earth for both parent and child.
After my morning walk to Hays Backside (no GBH, no cardinals, several butterflies), I went with a good friend to the movie Sound of Freedom today. It's not easy to watch and it's not easy to know that the movie was made five years ago but they couldn't get it released. Do you suppose there are powerful people who are in on this human trafficking, who don't want the knowledge out?
Lord, please give the little ones hope. Please raise up your people, more people like Timothy Ballard, who will fight for those who can't fight for themselves. Help your people rely on your provision and care more about humanity than money, status, or pleasure. We need a leader, Lord. Who? Who?
It would be better for him if a millstone [as large as one turned by a donkey] were hung around his neck and he were hurled into the sea, than for him to cause one of these little ones to stumble [in sin and lose faith].
Luke 17:2 AMP
God's children are not for sale. Everyone should be aware of the horror, that such evil exists, so we can fight against it. I ache for those children caught up in the horror of human slavery. Praise God for people like Tim Ballard who will do what it takes to rescue even one child. And his wife, for encouraging and supporting him.
Powerful movie.
