Because medical advice advised against going into river water to kayak only a couple days after stitches, we had to make different plans. Interestingly, we'd both come up with the same substitution when we began discussing it.
In 2020 Morgan came to live with us (mostly), from mid-March to June while finishing out her college career online. That year the three of us decided to go to Chattanooga for Memorial Day. There is a bridge called the Walnut Street Bridge that is pedestrian only, so it's always fun to walk right across the Tennessee River. As you can see, we stopped for a picture, we'd already eaten, and we walked all around the area and took more pics. It was a great day!
This is what she'd posted on Facebook that evening.
It was about that cloudy today as well. We sure wished she could have been with us, but I guess we are getting more and more use to everything because neither of us got teary or cried.
Open Thread is to bring up any subject you would like to, and if we're lucky, others will participate in a discussion. Please pray for any families, especially military families today, that are in the shock-filled early stages of missing their loved one.
Do not fear [anything], for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, be assured I will help you; I will certainly take hold of you with My righteous right hand [a hand of justice, of power, of victory, of salvation].’

Not sure about this chat y'all. I don't use it.
Deepest sympathies. May God comfort you.
What a wonderful daughter that you have waiting for you in heaven. May God give you comfort and peace and hope during the wait. I love the pictures, and what she wrote is really cute. And true!
