Post 60. Two months of the Nightly Gathering posts and 12 weeks tomorrow of the most awful Friday.
Each day I have to focus on over and over where Morgan is and not where she isn't.
The dog and I didn't get our walk in yesterday which is a rarity. Eager to go today and the weather was sunny and 55 degrees. We walked the route to The Spot. As I rounded a corner to approach it, I was trying to name how I felt in my head. Sad, but honestly, no more sad than most typical days (The homesick feeling). When I was close, it immediately changed to, “OH NO!”. An animal had dug into The Spot, leaving her container tipped and just a little of her ashes scattered. I cleaned it up and realized quite quickly what I could do. The Spot was at the base of a tree, but the tree itself had a very nice crevice just less than a foot higher than my head. Unless a tall person is specifically looking for it, it is inconspicuous.
I placed her up there and will need to check if that worked tomorrow. I will take a plastic bag which will hopefully cover any possible scent if something happens again. There must have been a scent that our human noses could not pick up.
On another wondrous note, I have to say that Rock 2 and I have been rocking the long distance brain vibes on wordle again. Yesterday I was too tired to even type it out, but I had started with “House” and gave her just that word “as a challenge” against my score, which I got in 3, to see if she could do it in 3.
She sent me back her score, also in 3, and said she'd chosen “sleep” second and then “sweep” the correct word third. Here is what I sent her back.
Of all the words she could have chosen second and she chose the exact same word? What do you make of this after we chose the same random first word last week? Neither of those occurrences had ever happened to us before and we've been doing this for maybe a year or more?
Type about anything you wish in the open thread. I appreciate all of you for continuing to read these!
Our brains are connected in ways we can't begin to understand!
Thinking of you! I enjoyed your videos of Mo playing volleyball :)
