Hello. Open Thread is to use as you wish. Do you have a memory you'd like to share? A book or a song or a podcast to recommend? I don't have too much to report myself today. Still cried a few times, but nothing like yesterday. We are starting to plan more of the details of the memorial service. I'm sure this is another reason there have been more tears.

That is so wonderful. That is what we are supposed to spend our time and money doing when we are blessed with "extra." In all the NDE accounts I have read and watched in the past few weeks, Uncle Marty will get to see/did get to see/does get to see the chain of how that thoughtful gesture is continuing to reverberate, in his life review. Thank you for sharing!
My husband had an uncle who was a very kind and interesting man. At one point I mentioned to him that my dad liked Texas persimmons. Many years later, when my dad passed away, Uncle Marty had a persimmon tree delivered to our house. What a thoughtful man and what a sweet gesture. Just the fact he remembered what I had said touched me deeply, but to go to all the trouble and expense to have a tree delivered was such a comfort. We planted that tree on our property right where my dad wanted to build a house when he and my mom got too old to live alone. So, although he technically did not get to live there, the tree was a nice reminder of BOTH these wonderful men. Praise be to God for the love He instills in each for each other!
