This is one of those nights when I can't think of what to write about so I'll share a memory, but before I do, I guess I could say I made some kind of breakthrough this morning.
After doing the bills, I texted my sister-in-law and said I was ready to see pictures of my great nephews. One was born on my birthday in 2022, and his cousin was born on my wedding anniversary in 2022. That’s pretty weird, eh? I haven't seen pictures of them since before Christmas. For a while it has been too painful to see them, knowing I'd never be a grandma to any kids Morgan might have. She was adamant about not wanting kids most of her life, but had slowly started to consider it after meeting who she had thought was Mr. Right there for a while. After viewing the cuties, I was able to catch up on things with my sister-in-law on a long phone call, so it was a good start to a rainy day.
The picture I'm sharing is actually the wallpaper on the home screen of my phone. I love how Mo is laughing so hard it looks like her stomach hurts. This was from a junior's tournament in Milwaukee in 2014. These two girls and we moms had a really fun time all weekend.
The other mom, D, has been a major prayer warrior for me, and she sent me dozens of pictures during that first week I think. It helped then and it still helps now. I'm so thankful that I am blessed to have so many pictures and videos of the life she led. Mo herself was pretty good about sending me pics after she went off to college as well.
Feel free to share any memories of your loved ones as well. Keeping these stories going or typed out keeps them alive in a sense.
I’m so glad you were able to open yourself up to those pictures.❤️ I’m thinking of you always 🙏🏼
Praying for you and carrying you in my heart always! I love how Mo has her hand on her stomach, looks like a good belly laugh! 🙏❤️🙏
