Hello! Tonight I write to you from Biloxi, MS. As timeshare owners, we make sure to take the vacations we have basically pre-paid for. This one was scheduled back last June. It's been too dark to see much, but it should be a good, sunny week where nobody knows us. We are going to try to have fun and make memories.
Sometimes it was a huge pain to make that timeshare payment and you wonder if you made a giant mistake, but we took the kids on some great and memorable vacations over the years. One year it was the Poconos and we went underground to the Lackawanna coal mine. Florida several times, Sedona, AZ, Bend, OR, to name a few.
Before I got going this morning, I had to meet a girl from the Rover App who will be taking care of our dog for the last couple of days. Rock 3 and her husband are doggy sitting the first several days. Rock 3 is just such an amazing person. I wish you all knew her or have someone like her yourselves.
The 20-something girl came by with her taller, slim and casual stature, long straight hair, as sweet as could be. She does this for extra dough of course, but works for Google full-time. It went fine, but it was sad and unsettling because that experience could have been someone else having that experience with Mo. She had used that app and had become a dog walker in her last few months. I didn't cry until telling hubby about it on the way here. It always feels better to talk and cry, then I can move along.
How are y'all doing? Do you have anything to share about anybody you are grieving, especially when something or someone reminds you of them?
Share away! You may find the writing cathartic.
Have a great time. Our preferred vaca spot is Gulf Shores. It’s our happy place and we long to be there.
