As you regular readers know, for the past 9 or 10 days, I've been in a new acceptance level of grief. I completely believe and accept that my daughter is now in a much better realm, beyond my imagination, than where she spent the first 24 years of her life, no matter how “good she had it.” Shall I list?
Born in the USA which gave her opportunity most of the inhabitants of the world don't have. She never had a physical need that wasn't met. She was born into a family that loved the heck out of her, and did their best to turn her into a grateful, productive human, which she was. She had intelligence, athletic ability, beauty, and a good sense of humor.
But where she is now far surpasses all of that, and I’ve been very happy that she doesn't have to suffer in our crazy world.
That feeling of being near the beach in calm waters has been very nice, but I'm feeling the undercurrent beginning to pull me back out. I will have no choice but to let it take me because there are things that can only be done away from the calmer waters near the beach. The undercurrent is necessary because it will then deposit me onto another area of the beach when it's done with me.
Today's walk was great, so great in fact that I'll be writing about it in the longer weekend post. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend celebrating fathers, husbands that are or were fathers, sons that are fathers, brothers that are fathers, etc. We need the men!
Open Thread posts are for anything. One day, one day, one day, more of you readers will post when you're here reading in the middle of the night. Give it a try and just say, “hello!” I love that you're here and want to get to know you. We all need each other more than you may realize. I get it now….
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 NIV

Amen. Thinking of you. So sorry for the loss of your daughter.
You sound very upbeat and peaceful tonight and I praise the Lord for that peace that passes understanding! Such nice wishes for all the wonderful men in our lives! Look forward to hearing more details about your walk I’d be curious of the temperature as well. We were really hot in Texas today.
