As most of you know, I work remotely. I was able to set up the laptop and work from my brother's condo in the morning, which left me time in the afternoon to see two people I'd thought a lot about since December.
One was my friend, the mother of Abigail, who was the speaker at Morgan's Celebration of Life who covered the elementary and junior high school years. We had a nice long walk with her beautiful 18-month old dog Nicco and were able to catch up on each other's lives. Lucky for me, she is moving down to the Clarksville, TN area in the not too distant future, so we will get to visit more often.
The second was another speaker at Mo’s Celebration of Life, her high school club beach coach. His speech was so wonderful and I only got to talk to him for a few minutes that day, there was just so much going on. I needed to properly thank him and just grieve longer with him. Those years with Mo are some of my best memories. One, we were packed into a fifteen passenger van on her 16th birthday and we all sang her the Happy Birthday song at the stroke of midnight, probably somewhere on the 75 South in Georgia. I was happy he had some time to meet and we hope to stay in touch.
I then left to drive up to Northwest Ohio where I have spent the evening and am spending the night at the house of who I call my adopt a dad. (Both of my parents are deceased). I am so blessed to be loved by him.
I'm very tired and need to work again tomorrow, so off to Lala land I go. Thank you for reading.
Summing up: Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless—that’s your job, to bless. You’ll be a blessing and also get a blessing. Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, Here’s what you do: Say nothing evil or hurtful; Snub evil and cultivate good; run after peace for all you’re worth. God looks on all this with approval, listening and responding well to what he’s asked; But he turns his back on those who do evil things.
1 Peter 3:8-12 MSG
God has blessed us with our friendship, Joan😊. How great our schedules just perfectly lined up this afternoon(the timing and me “just happening” to drop off my son, in Fairfield, minutes from you…so cool). God’s timing is so cool!
