Did you miss me? It was a little strange not writing every evening, but I think the break was good. I had amazingly great visits with so many friends and family every single day for the past week. I am truly grateful for all of them. A special thank you to my brother, my sister-in-law, my adopt-a-dad, and my son, for letting me crash at your homes.
Three of the visits were with friends who have also lost children. At the first, Role Model, I actually broke down entering her abode. The drive from my brother's place took me via the intersecting freeways that are huge reminders of Mo's life, coming and going to practices, tournaments, the mall. This is an area I didn't go through previously and the memories and missing her suddenly flooded me. But if anyone would relate, it was her. Other than that, I rarely cried.
The second was with my highschool friend who’s son passed away nearly three years ago. We had not seen each other in 25 years, but our conversation was as if we'd only been together the week before. She is going to be a blessing and source of support for the third, Rock 3, my cousin who lives in the same vicinity, and I'm glad I was used for the introduction.
So many relationships, both near and far, have been reestablished and strengthened since December. I hate that it took Morgan’s untimely death as the reason, but it is a way that good is coming from it.
My reunion itself was really great. I loved seeing everyone. It was disappointing that many people who live in the area decided not to go. There were many of us out-of-towners, and we would have liked to see them.
Hubby stayed here and held down the fort and since I missed several days of walking, hiking up to the waterfall at Bethel was a good way to catch up. I hope you all have had a great past week as well.
Oh, let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the [uncompromisingly] righteous [those upright and in harmony with You]; for You, Who try the hearts and emotions and thinking powers, are a righteous God. [Rev. 2:23.]
Psalm 7:9 AMPC
So glad you are back and had such wonderful visits! It was so good to see you!❤️
So happy to hear about a positive reunion in all areas. As we grow older memories are treasures for us . Obviously you couldn’t go to Ohio home without memories of Mo. Hopefully these memories will turn from sadness to renewal of her life and bring you peace, someday.
