I took the dog for a walk starting at 6am today because again, it would be too hot any time later in the day. Today was the Little Cove Transformer walk and I admit I wanted to see A Great Blue Heron, even though I didn't have high hopes of doing so. I thought the feather I found last Sunday was a signal to an ending of so many “visits.”
As we passed the marshy inlet where I would guess I've seen the most GBH - yes, there was one who flew away immediately. Since I have definitely equated it with Morgan, it almost felt like her getting mad and leaving in a huff from times past.
On this walk I saw four bunny rabbits on the “to” portion and eleven on the “way back” portion, and then two more who I think had just “gone at it like rabbits” a short distance from where I parked, for a total of 17. I have thought about that ALL DAY! Seventeen rabbits in 45 minutes is a lot!
I felt blessed by these little furry creatures and realized if I didn't own my own four-legged pitsky, there is very little chance I'd have been out of bed that early to experience it. Animals, weather in nature or domestic, add so much to our lives if we don't rush by and just take notice.
We all have challenges almost every day, some of us worse than others, or so it seems. I think we all have to help each other out through our challenges the best we can. Someday we will see a review of our lives, full of decision after decision after decision. Will we be proud or sick of what we see?
I want my daughter and God the Trinity to be looking down and saying, “well done” and not “she's wasting her life.“
Have you ever come on anything quite like this extravagant generosity of God, this deep, deep wisdom? It’s way over our heads. We’ll never figure it out. Is there anyone around who can explain God? Anyone smart enough to tell him what to do? Anyone who has done him such a huge favor that God has to ask his advice? Everything comes from him; Everything happens through him; Everything ends up in him. Always glory! Always praise! Yes. Yes. Yes.

My friend lives on 150 acres here in East Texas. The heat and humidity is real. She and I volunteer at our local food pantry. Clients and volunteers were suffocated. She called me later in the evening. They had twin deer farms born on the property. They could see them from the window. God is alive and well.
